Wayasewa (little Waya) is owned by the people from Waya Island. The island was previously uninhabited but some land was gifted to Fijians from the mainland several generations ago. There are now three villages on Wayasewa, Naboro on the northern tip has the regions public boarding school, adjacent Yamata on the west coast and Old Namara which was runied by a land slide in 1972 but has since become the resort village for the adjacent Wayalailia Eco Resort.
