  • Waya Island Resort is an adults-only boutique resort located at the southern end of the Yasawa Islands archipelago on the majestic Waya Island.

  • Waya Island Resort opened its doors on November 1st 2023 to welcome guests.

    The official opening was on February 8th 2024, by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation the honourable Viliame Gavoka.

  • Yes, Waya Island Resort welcomes guests aged 18 years and over.

  • A minimum stay of two nights applies to all bookings.

    • Free Wi-Fi throughout the resort and in all bures/villas.

    • 24-hour reception service.

    • Boutique for souvenirs and necessities.

    • A library offering a great range of board games and books to swap.  The only television at the resort is in the library.  Be warned it gets very noisy in there when the Fiji rugby matches are televised!

  • The water is very safe to drink. Our natural spring and desalination plant provide safe filtered water throughout the resort.

    As part of our commitment to the environment we do not use single use plastic bottles in our rooms.  Reusable water bottles are provided in each room fridge and can be refilled at reception.

  • There is no traditional phone service at the resort, however you can make and receive data calls and messages via WhatsApp, Messenger, and Viber.

  • We have 25 well-appointed villas, accommodating up to 50 guests.

    Each room accommodates two people only and has a king-size bed. If you’d prefer a twin bed configuration please enquire upon booking. Twin beds are subject to availability in all room types except for the Deluxe Grand Villa.

    All bures/villas are air-conditioned and have ceiling fans, mini fridge, bathrobes, slippers, bath and pool towels, a hair dryer, an iron and ironing board (if you must iron your bathers and sulu).

    All bures/villas have an ensuite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers with Pure Fiji toiletries. Each villa has its own patio or terrace.

  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in each room rate. Our all-day pizza menu is also included in your room rate.

    We host special theme nights each week:

    • Taste of India (Tuesdays).

    • Taste of Fiji (Fridays).

    We cater for most dietary requirements.  It is important you inform our reservations team of any dietary requirements and allergies at the time of booking.  

    Your inclusive meal plan commences when you arrive at the resort. If you arrive in time for lunch, day one will include lunch and dinner. On the day of your departure, only breakfast is included.

    If your transfer is scheduled for after lunch, then lunch will incur an additional cost of FJD$55 per person.

  • Waya Island Resort is a licensed premises.  We ask that any duty free beverages are consumed in your room only.  Duty free beverages are not permitted in the restaurant, bar or public areas around the resort.

  • We offer private sunset bure, beach and poolside dining options. Our dining experiences are the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion, or enjoy each other’s company in a private setting.

    These private dining setups are available for one table per night at an additional cost. Our dining experiences can be booked when you arrive at the resort.

  • We offer a range of water and land based activities. Learn more about what’s on offer at Waya Island Resort.

    • By sea: South Sea Cruises operates a daily resort transfer service from Port Denarau to Waya Island Resort (two hours each way).

    • By air: We offer a quick 20-minute helicopter flight from Nadi Airport. 

    • By water taxi: Sea Fiji and Hauraki Adventures & Tours offer water taxi services from various ports in the region. (These operate on a charter basis only.)

    Please ensure you check your arrival/departure times in/out of Fiji before confirming your mode of transfer to/from the resort. Your ideal mode of transport may not align with your flights.

    We strongly recommend you contact our reservations team with your flight details. We can assist you with your planning, as you may require an overnight stay on the mainland before/after traveling to the resort.

  • We accept Fiji dollars (FJD) only. We cannot exchange foreign currency.  We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.  There is a 3% administration fee for all local and international debit and credit cards.

    • If you cancel eight to 30 days before arrival, a 50% cancellation fee will be incurred.

    • If you cancel seven days or less before arrival, a 100% cancellation fee will be incurred.

    • No-shows or early departures are non-refundable nor transferrable.

  • Smoking is not permitted indoors, in bures/villas or in public spaces in the main dining/bar pavilion. However, smoking is allowed in designated outdoor areas.

  • No, we do not cater for children or day guests.

  • Yes, we cater to special occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, and other celebrations. We can also accommodate resort buyouts on request.

    Please let our team know at the time of booking if you are celebrating a special occasion.
